Some Nods
THE DARK VAULT OF PUBLIC DOMAIN wants to wish legendary D. C. horror host COUNT GORE DE VOL a happy birthday. The good count was a television mainstay in the nation’s capitol before he moved onto the world weird web in the late nineties to become one of the first (if not THE first) cult movie hosts to upload webisodes of his program, CREATURE FEATURES (see the link in our sidebar).

We also want to express our condolences to the family, friends and fans of professional wrestling manager/booker “Playboy” Gary Hart (Gary Richard Williams), who, at the age of 66, suffered a heart attack earlier this week. Hart entered the business as a wrestler before becoming one of America’s top heel managers and bookers. He worked under Eddie Graham at his Florida Championship Wrestling promotion, headed west and became one of the creative masterminds responsible for the success Fritz Von Erich’s World Class Championship Wrestling experienced in the early eighties. He would eventually have on-air and behind-the-scenes runs with Crockett Mid-Atlantic/NWA Promotions and the Global Wrestling Federation.
