The Dark Contest of Public Domain (#1)

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

Boils and Ghouls: if you live in the Time-Warner of Broome County viewing area (which extends into parts of Chenango & Susquehanna Counties and other regions of Pennsylvania) you are eligible to enter the very first giveaway from THE DARK VAULT OF PUBLIC DOMAIN. *****

Here’s the skinny:

A.) You have to watch our rough-around-the-edges, clunky pilot that has its WORLD PREMIER this Saturday, at 10pm on cable channel 4 in order to compete. The answers to this week’s contest will be found scattered throughout the episode.

B.) The first e-mail we receive that contains the correct answers will be declared the winner. We will contact the winner directly through e-mail and then announce the results (and honorable mentions) right here, on THE DARK VAULT OF THE INTERNET, and in a future webisode.

Here’s the swag on offer for this week’s contest:

1.) A DVD of NEXT WEEK’s episode of THE DARK VAULT OF PUBLIC DOMAIN.
Yup, you get to enjoy next week’s feature a full week before the rest of Broome County. Be the envy of your friends, enemies, co-workers, classmates, and cellmates!

As an added bonus, we’ll include a personalized, video greeting from Uncle Pete & El Vato. This isn’t a generic greeting, but something custom-made for the winner of the contest.

2.) You will get your choice of 1 VHS feature. All VHS prizes are legitimate, commercial releases hand-picked from the Dark Vault’s personal, non-public domain library. Some of the films never received home video release in North America and come from Canadian, South Korean, Japanese, and Taiwanese companies. Some titles will contain foreign language trailers and subtitles, but all of the feature films are in English, or contain English subtitles. All tapes are previously-viewed.

We will allow this week’s winner to take their pick from a list.

3.) You will get your choice of 1 Video CD. Video CDs are a technology that predate DVDs and are still available in parts of Asia. Most DVD players will play them, but you’ll have to check if your player is compliant. Any computer with a minimum of a Pentium III chip can play them. Windows Media Player, or DVD player software works fine in that case. All Video CDs are legitimate, factory-pressed releases from South Korea, Taiwan, the Philippines, China, Thailand and Hong Kong. All features are in English or contain English subtitles and are previously-viewed.

We will allow this week’s winner to take their pick from a list.

So, to review, this week’s winner will receive:
A DVD of next week’s episode of THE DARK VAULT OF PUBLIC DOMAIN, complete with a personal video greeting from Uncle Pete & El Vato, and two films (one on VHS and one on VCD) of their choice.

Here are the questions you must answer for this week’s contest:

A.) What is the name of the product “sponsoring” the episode?

and

B.) Who is “THE EXERCIST?” (sic)

So, after this Saturday’s broadcast, send your answers to:

The first e-mail we receive that successfully answers both questions will be the winner!

Don’t forget! This Saturday, September 15th, at 10PM on Time-Warner Cable Channel 4 of Broome County: WATCH THE DARK VAULT OF PUBLIC DOMAIN.

****=Sadly, if you are not within the immediate area (i. e. outside of Time-Warner of G. B. C.’s coverage) we ask for your understanding in our contest limits.
