GIANT KID LOVING REPTILES AND ENLARGING EXPERIMENTS GONE AWRY

UNCLE PETE EXPERIMENTS IN HE DARK VAULT LAB

He’s the Rabbit!  He’s the Toitle!  Well, he’s kind of a turtle and he’s up next in THE DARK VAULT OF PUBLIC DOMAIN.  Join UNCLE PETE this Saturday for the 1965 Japanese giant monster classic – Gamera The Invincible.  This is the first cinematic appearance of the giant building stomping, flying reptile and was originally released in Japan as Daikaiju Gamera

An accidental atomic bomb blast (it happens all the time) during a U.S – Soviet disagreement over the Arctic releases the long sleeping Gamera from his icy hibernation.  After busting up a few outposts and a ship or two, he finds his way to Tokyo.  During his visit. Gamera demonstrates his urban renewal abilities, fondness for fire, and his flying skills while outwitting the plans of the greatest scientist and military leaders.

GAMERA HAS SOME FUN IN THE WATER

Gamera The Invincible was the only film in the original crop of Gamera movies that was released in American theaters.  Re-edited and slightly longer than the original Japanese release, the U.S. version added several scenes and American actors, including Brian Donlevy and Albert Dekker, to the original line-up starring Eiji Funakoshi and Harumi Kintachi.  Directed by Noriaki Yuasa, It’s Gamera The Invincible, our next feature presentation in THE DARK VAULT OF PUBLIC DOMAIN.

EL VATO TACKLES THE RENEGADE ROBOT

Back in The Dark Vault Laboratory.   UNCLE PETE is cooking up some new experiments.  He’s been contracted by an unnamed party to develop a size enhancement formula.  The enlarging fluid proves somewhat successful, but upon adding the special ingredient, UNCLE PETE finds the fluid is a little too successful as it turns an out of control robot into a stomping, flying giant pain in the neck.  The Clones attempt to coral the robot prove less than adequate as they find it to be more than a pain in just the neck.

ROBOT VISITS THE LAB

Along the way, UNCLE PETE also brings you some music, including a video by the Plastics, and a cartoon about a meanie up north called  The Snowman.  It all happens this Saturday, March 10, 2012 at 10PM on channel 4.  So grab your molten turtle food and join UNCLE PETE for the next DARK VAULT OF PUBLIC DOMAIN!!!
