NOTES FROM DOWN UNDER ( AND WE DON’T MEAN AUSTRALIA)

Had any interesting mail lately?  UNCLE PETE has.  And he’s going to bring you some notes from the land of fire and brimstone on this week’s installment of THE DARK VAULT OF PUBLIC DOMAIN.  Saturday night, UNCLE PETE will bring you the feature presentation from 1961 – The Devil’s Messenger.  Starring Lon Chaney Jr. as Lou himself, the movie was based on the Swedish anthology series 13 Demon Street.  The Devil’s Messenger presents 3 tales of dastardly deeds – stories of a scientist who discovers a girl frozen in ice, a lecherous photographer (aren’t they all), and a man who was no gentleman.

ANOTHER DAY AT THE OFFICE FOR THE DEVIL

The devil is on a recruitment drive (as if there aren’t already enough mortals lining up to join) and he enlists the assistance of lovely evil dead girl Satanya (played by Karen Kadler).  On the side, he’s also plotting the destruction of all mankind by way of a nuclear explosion (or nucular explosion for those of you from certain parts of Texas).

UNCLE PETE also bring you an extra special short feature.  From 1959, it’s episode #111 of the classic spooky series – One Step Beyond.  Hosted, as always, by your guide John Newland, this episode is entitled The Devil’s Laughter about  an evil doer sure he has cheated death.

UNCLE PETE keeps busy as usual back at the DARK VAULT hanging out with Max the Rat.  He tries to capture El Vato’s soul (or is it his sole) with his special camera, reads some viewer mail, and makes up some brain squeezins.

And remember, you too can send us an e-mail at darkvaultpd@gmail.com.  We love getting e-mails and we might read yours on the air.  Plus, you can always leave us a comment right here on this page by clicking the right place.

So join UNCLE PETE for some devilish entertainment, this Saturday night, March 17, 2012, at 10PM on channel 4 for the next DARK VAULT OF PUBLIC DOMAIN (And if you can’t get us on TV, let us know.  Maybe you can get us somehow else!)
