SPACE HOT RODS – REAL PREHISTORIC CHICK MAGNETS!

VITO GOLD AT HIS HEADQUARTERS WHEELIN’ AND DEALIN’ AND HOSTIN’ TOO!

It’s the final week of Hot Rod Rock And Roll Month in THE DARK VAULT OF PUBLIC DOMAIN, so UNCLE PETE has found a way-out cruiser for this week’s feature.  As UNCLE PETE knows, the dames love a spiffy hot rod, even prehistoric cave dames.  But if there’s one thing they love more, it’s accessorizin’.  And if there’s anybody who knows how to accessorize, it’s VITO GOLD.  So while UNCLE PETE is out picking up a pair of franstanic joints for the Dark Vault Hot Rod (and having a little trouble getting back from Rome, Italy when he had meant to go to Rome, NY), VITO GOLD will be taking care of the hosting duties this week with the feature presentation from 1968 – Voyage To The Planet Of Prehistoric Women.  If you’ve ever seen Voyage To The Prehistoric Planet, you’ve already seen a good portion of this film too.  That’s because director Peter Bogdanovich (hiding under a pseudonym) compiled parts of a few movies and came up with this one.  And one of the parts he came up with has some pretty good parts herself.  It stars Mamie VanDoren as Moana, the leader of a race of telepathic prehistoric women on an alien planet.  A group of astronauts lands on the planet and disturbs the women’s peaceful existing including blasting the giant bird creature that the women idolize.  The powers of the women’s minds turn the powers of nature against these astro-interlopers and action ensues.  Produced by Roger Corman, it’s Voyage To The Planet Of Prehistoric Women.

VITO also has a bunch of trailers and tidbits as well as Way Stations In Space, a short all about space travel and space stations as planned in the 1950s and he’ll be showing off a few of the “Things youse needs to buy”.  So join us this Saturday night, August 31, 2013, from 10PM to midnight on channel 4 for Voyage To The Planet Of Prehistoric Women on the next DARK VAULT OF PUBLIC DOMAIN.
