A PLEASANT EVENING OF GOLF (AND KILLER ROBOTS)
Somebody once said “War Is Heck” or something like that. UNCLE PETE once said “Heck, let’s go golfing” Well, this week we combine both immortal quotes in THE DARK VAULT OF PUBLIC DOMAIN.
Join UNCLE PETE and El Vato for the 1978 outer space action feature The War Of The Robots. An alien race about to become extinct kidnaps two of Earth’s premier genetic scientists to work on saving the alien race. But they’re not very nice aliens and there are some nasty humanoid robot guys with ray guns who like to zap the other aliens. So it’s Earth’s crack Space Commandos off to parts unknown (one of UNCLE PETE’s favorite vacation spots) in an attempt to rescue the scientists and engage in some good old ray gun battles and some spaceship fighting to bring back memories of your Atari 2600. Starring Antonio Sabato as Captain John Boyd, Yanti Somer as Julie and Melissa Long as Lois, from director Alfonso Brescia it’s The War Of The Robots.
Since the Clones haven’t been too destructive lately, UNCLE PETE has decided to treat them all to a golf outing. But, as a result of many of the experiments UNCLE PETE conducts, the weather around the DARK VAULT area is a little off from most other inhabitable places and occasional bursts of winter pop up at the strangest times. So, it’s off to the links for a rousing round of Winter Night Golf (it’s not a good idea to let the clones wander around in the daytime very often). Bunkers don’t seem quite as challenging when you can’t see them and the water hazards play a little different when they’re frozen. So grab your mashies and niblicks and join us on the links this Saturday, June 7, 2014 from 10PM to midnight on channel 4 (Binghamton), channel 99 (Elmira/Hornell/Corning), and channel 17 (Sayre, PA). It’s robotic carnage and golf with UNCLE PETE on the next DARK VAULT OF PUBLIC DOMAIN!
