UNCLE PETE TRADES HIS BOWLING BALL FOR HANDCUFFS THIS WEEK

UNCLE PETE TRADES HIS BOWLING BALL FOR HANDCUFFS THIS WEEK

All those so-called edgy TV cop shows with all the letters – you know, NCI, SUV, SIC, EIEIO – they’re just a bunch of boring cookie cutter same old thing kinda shows (and not in a good way either).  Join UNCLE PETE this week in THE DARK VAULT OF PUBLIC DOMAIN for some real down to earth cop action with the 1976 feature Cop In Blue Jeans (aka – Squadra Antiscippo).  It’s off to the land of vino and salami (UNCLE PETE’s favorite breakfast) for this Bruno Corbucci directed thriller starring Tomas Milian as Nico Giraldi, a tough, no-nonsense, earthy undercover cop who makes his own rules as he goes along and always gets the job done.  Nico is investigating a well-organized group of thieves swiping everything from purses to jewelry to motorcycles.  But things really start to heat up when one of the gang snatches a briefcase containing 4 billion lira (I think that’s about a buck-eighty American) and belonging to big time mobster Norman Shelley (played by Dark Vault fave Jack Palance).

And it’s another of our new remixed, remastered, re-upholstered episodes with bigger color, higher sound and all that good stuff!

UNCLE PETE is back in the DARK VAULT this week, returning triumphant from his ’round the world bowling tour.  He, and especially his bowling ball, are a bit the worse for wear after their little delay in the German Airport, but that won’t stop him from channeling his inner street-wise tough guy cop.  But he might be better off channeling Houdini when he has a bit of trouble with a set of official handcuffs (and a flashback to that weekend in Altoona).

So join UNCLE PETE for Cop In Blue Jeans this Saturday, October 4, 2014 from 10PM to midnight on channel 4 (Binghamton), channel 17 (Sayre), and channel 99 (Elmira/Corning/Hornell).  It’s our October kick-off presentation on the next DARK VAULT OF PUBLIC DOMAIN!!!
