IS THIS THING ON?

UNCLE PETE AND OXNARD ENJOY A LITTLE WHITTLIN' FUN

UNCLE PETE AND OXNARD ENJOY A LITTLE WHITTLIN’ FUN

As you may have noticed, our home TV station has been undergoing equipment and signal maintenance this week.  Hopefully one thing that will be maintained is the airing of THE DARK VAULT OF PUBLIC DOMAIN this Saturday night as we bring you the battle of the titans –  Dracula Vs. Muggs (and Glimpy and Danny and the Gang).  Join UNCLE PETE and his ever faithful Beagle OXNARD at LAKE DARK VAULT for the suspense filled 1943 comedy thriller Ghosts On The Loose.  Starring Leo Gorcey as Muggs, Huntz Hall as Glimpy, Bobby Jordan as Danny and Sunshine Sammy Morrison as Scruno, we find the Boys helping with the wedding preparations for Glimpy’s sister Betty (played by Ava Gardner in an early role).  Jack, Betty’s intended (played by Rick Vailin), has purchased a little home in the suburbs for which to settle in with his new bride.  The Gang decides to do a little fixin’ up for the happy couple but mistakenly goes to the mansion next door – a place said to be haunted.  Mysterious things have the Gang thinking there are ghosts about, but Emil (Bela Lugosi) and his Nazi bunch hidden in the mansion might not be the ghosts the gang thinks they are.  One of the most classic exchanges in all of filmdom occurs between Scruno and Emil as the Boys explore the secret passages and Scruno utters the immortal “Who Dat!” The film also features Wheeler Oakman as Tony and Stanley Clements as Stash. Clements, here in his only East Side Kids film, would resurface in the 1950’s as Duke, the leader of The Bowery Boys after Leo Gorcey’s retirement.  Plus, make sure to listen for (and watch) Bill Bates as Sleepy who actually plays the organ in his only East Side Kids appearance in this week’s feature Ghosts On The Loose.

UNCLE PETE, OXNARD, Max and Stone Dog are relaxing at LAKE DARK VAULT and getting crafty, whittling with UNCLE PETE’s 47 blade pocket knife – including the Sterling Steel dinner service.  UNCLE PETE also finds time to bring you a short from our favorite trio – The Three Stooges. From 1936, it’s Disorder In The Court. Who Dat Say Who Dat When I Say Who Dat? It could be Scruno, it could be Bela Lugosi, it might just be UNCLE PETE!  It’s whittlin, hound dogs, ghosts and a few eye pokes this Saturday, February 27, 2016 from 10PM to midnight on channel 4 (Binghamton), channel 17 (Montrose/Sayre), and channel 99 (Elmira/Corning/Hornell) with replays at midnight (hopefully) and 2AM.  If the new equipment works, head to the lake with UNCLE PETE and OXNARD for Ghosts On The Loose on the next episode of THE DARK VAULT OF PUBLIC DOMAIN!  (Don’t forget – new episodes coming in 2 weeks!!!)
