UNCLE PETE POWERS UP THE PORTAL SPECTRAL DISEMBOBULATOR (TM) FOR A DOUBLE FEATURE

It’s time for another appearance of the Official Dark Vault Viewer as UNCLE PETE brings you two, count ’em, two brand new features this week in THE DARK VAULT OF PUBLIC DOMAIN!  First up is the action music crime drama Postal Inspector from 1936.  It stars Hollywood fright legend, Bela Lugosi, as Gregory Benez, a shifty nightclub owner who has rung up a scary big gambling debt.  When Benez learns from recently hired singer Connie Larrimore (Patricia Ellis) that there is a 3 million dollar shipment of old money being transported from a nearby flooded area, he decides to grab it to pay off his debt.  But Charlie Davis (Michael Loring) – Connie’s sweetie and from whence she found out about the money shipment – happens to be the brother of Postal Inspector William Davis (Ricardo Cortez) and is overseeing this loot.  There’s a big heist, intrigue, a speedboat chase and lots more action.  Directed by Otto Brower and also starring Hattie McDaniel as Deborah, it’s Postal Inspector.

Then it’s flying lead and flying fists in the 1943 western classic, Bullets and Saddles.  The Range Busters – Ray “Crash” Corrigan, Dennis Moore, and Max “Alibi” Terhune – are called to action and wind up in the middle of cattle rustling and murder.  Bad guy Jack Hammond (Gunsmoke’s Glenn Strange) is masterminding a bunch of rustling.  He’s also after the Craig ranch.  Charlie Craig (Budd Buster) tells the local law that if the rustling and other unseemly crimes don’t get stopped, he’s going to organize some vigilantes.  Hammond sets up Charlie to be framed for murder.  Ma Craig calls in the Range Busters and the detectin’ and solvin’ begins.  Also starring Elmer as Max Terhune’s dummy, it’s Bullets and Saddles.

UNCLE PETE, El Vato, and Stone Dog and taking care of business back at the DARK VAULT as usual for this world premier double feature.  So tune in this Saturday night, September 9, 2017 from 10PM to midnight on channel 4 in the Binghamton area, channel 17 in Montrose/Sayre and surrounding areas, and channel 99 in Elmira/Hornell/Corning and Utica/Rome and channel 30 in the North Country (Ogdensburg/Watertown/Malone/Champlain/Massena) with replays at midnight and 2AM.  And make sure to listen for the smash hit song We’ll Have Bluebirds On All Our Wallpaper!  It’s Postal Inspector and Bullets and Saddles on the next DARK VAULT OF PUBLIC DOMAIN!!!
