Martial Arts leisure suits are the uniform of the day this Saturday.  Drop in on DARK VAULT OF PUBLIC DOMAIN as UNCLE PETE brings you the 1980 family fun action movie – Karate Kids, U.S.A.  Grandpa J.J. and his karate inclined grandsons Zack and Woody (Chris and Pat Petersen) hit the road on vacation and meet new friend Carol (Sally Boyden).  Carol meets some backwoods baddies too – scheming Angel (played by 50s and 60s TV and movie hottie Ann Southern) and Angel’s goofball sons.  They kidnap Carol and hold her for lots of ransom.  So Zack, Woody, and J.J. decide to come to the rescue.  It’s karate galore and lots of 70’s cars, chases, clothes and humor in this film directed by Curtis Hanson.  Originally titled The Little Dragons, but changed to show that they had more karate kids here than in that other just released movie called The Karate Kid, it’s Karate Kids, U.S.A.

Meanwhile, UNCLE PETE is hanging out with Max’s friend Hendrix trying to coax some breakfast out of a chicken.  He manages to dig up an educational and entertaining short from 1946 called Johnny Learns His Manners – a film that should be required viewing for all Americans and especially El Vato.  So tune in this Saturday, November 4, 2017, from 10PM to midnight (with replays at midnight and 2AM) on Binghamton’s channel 4, channel 17 in Montrose/Sayre, PA, channel 99 in Elmira/Corning/Hornell and Utica/Rome, channel 30 in the North Country of New York, and channel 30 in the Plattsburgh, Saranac and Tupper Lake area.  It’s Karate Kids, U.S.A., to start of the new month on THE DARK VAULT OF PUBLIC DOMAIN!

(And for all our Roku viewers who watch us on the Beta Max TV channel – this week it the big budget disaster film – Virus!  Go to betamaxtv.com for more details.)
