MORE BIGGER STUFF, MORE BIGGER TURTLE!!!

UNCLE PETE WATCHES THE RESULTS OF HIS LASTEST EXPERIMENT

UNCLE PETE WATCHES THE RESULTS OF HIS LATEST EXPERIMENT

It’s cold outside and the turtles are stirring!  The 30 story tall ones, anyway.   Take a “break” from the ice and join UNCLE PETE in THE DARK VAULT OF PUBLIC DOMAIN for the 1965 big screen debut of our favorite giant turtle in Gammera The Invincible (a.k.a. – Daikaiju Gammera).

Gammera wakes up a cranky – atomic bomb alarm clocks will do that to ya – and decides to have breakfast, lunch, and dinner in some of Tokyo’s soon-to-be hot spots.  Gammera The Invincible (1965) is the only film in the original crop of Gammera movies that was released in American theaters – and the only one entirely in living black and white!  Re-edited and longer than the original Japanese release, the U.S. version has several additional scenes and American actors (including Brian Donlevy and Albert Dekker) that the original Japanese film didn’t include.  Also starring Eiji Funakoshi and Harumi Kintachi and directed by Noriaki Yuasa, it’s Gammera The Invincible.

THE DARK VAULT EMERGENCY ROBOT GETS A LITTLE OUT OF HAND THIS WEEK

Back in The Dark Vault Laboratory, UNCLE PETE is brewing up something – and it’s most likely TROUBLE!  His new size enhancement formula gets out of control when it turns a robot into a rampaging, stomping, flying, giant pain in the neck.  UNCLE PETE sends El Vato out to clean things up – pretty much just business as usual in The Dark Vault.  UNCLE PETE finds time between robot attacks to bring you some a video by the Plastics, and a cartoon about a meanie up north called  The Snowman that just might actually document an event that may or may not have happened during last week’s cold snap.  It all takes place this Saturday, February 9, 2019 from 10PM to midnight on channel 1301 for Binghamton, Montrose/Sayre, PA, Elmira/Corning/Hornell and much of northern PA and southern NY, channel 30 in the North Country (Watertown/Ogdensburg/Malone/Massena/Champlain), channel 99 in Utica/Rome and channel 2 for Cortland County and Tupper, Saranac and Champlain Lakes areas.  Don’t forget the replay at midnight!  And it’s channel 13 in Ithaca, NY at 9PM and midnight.  And do the Gammera Stomp to one of the coolest twangy tunes ever in a giant monster movie (as heard on The Uncle Pete Show on WHRW, 90.5 FM)!  Spend the night stompin’ with UNCLE PETE, El Vato, a rampaging robot and Gammera The Invincible on the next DARK VAULT OF PUBLIC DOMAIN!!!
