As unpredictable as THE DARK VAULT OF PUBLIC DOMAIN is, there’s one thing you can count on – explosions!  And after the latest one, UNCLE PETE is nowhere to be found.  But explosions and a blown up host will never stop the show from its appointed rounds (only cable company malfunctions can do that!)!  So tune in this week for a tale of juvenile delinquents from out thereTeenagers From Outer Space!

CHOPPED AND LOWERED - REAL GONE HOT ROD!

CHOPPED AND LOWERED – REAL GONE HOT ROD!

Way out juvenile delinquents in a percolatin’ space hot rod land on Earth for the purpose of finding a new planet to raise their “cattle” on.  But their “cattle” just happen to be giant lobster-like creatures called gargons.  Showing no concern for etiquette, the aliens make a bad first impression by vaporizing Sparky, a happy local canine type, leaving nothing but bones and license tag..  Derek (David Love), one of the aliens, finds the tag, realizes that the planet is inhabited and raising gargons here will pose a hazard to the locals and so heads to town where he meets Betty (Dawn Anderson) and her Gramps (Harvey B. Dunn) and warns them.  Thor (Bryan Grant) and the rest of the aliens don’t care much about wiping out Earthlings, so Derek has to avoid them while trying to help Earth and keep the gargons from eating too many people.

The film was directed, written, and produced by Tom Graeff, who also happens to be Tom Lockyear of the cast (Betty’s pre-alien boyfriend).  From 1959, it’s Teenagers From Outer Space!

We have newsreel footage of the explosion and updates on the investigations into who dunnit.  As far as where the heck is UNCLE PETE, who knows?  Wherever he is, he still manages to also bring you an educational short from 1950 entitled Bicycle Safety and a DARK VAULT exclusive import from Canada or China (it’s hard to tell sometimes) called Cooking With Foreigners.  We also bring you some groovy trailers and a peek at the place you’ll want to head to on your next vacation – VITOLAND PARK!
