UNCLE PETE ENJOYS SOME MOONERIFIC REFRESHMENTS

We here in the DARK VAULT OF PUBLIC DOMAIN feel you can never get enough beast.  So after a good dose of beast in last week’s feature, we’ve decided to give you another heapin’ helpin’ of beast this week too!  Join UNCLE PETE and EL VATO Saturday night for a romp with a beast by the light of the silvery moon in the 1976 feature – Track Of The Moon Beast.  Chase Cordell plays Paul G. Carlson, a rock hound who gets beaned by a hunk of alien meteorite.  Not long after, some of the locals, including one poor soul coming home from bowling, start turning up all clawed and in a generally pretty unhealthy dead condition.  No known animal could have made those marks (except for maybe some of the guests at a DARK VAULT all-night shindig).  The only clues are a collection of ancient American Indian paintings (always a good place to look for clues).  Also starring Leigh Drake, directed by Richard Ashe, and co-written by Bill Finger whose writing credits include episodes of the Batman TV series, 77 Sunset Strip and The Green Slime, it’s Track Of The Moon Beast!

Meanwhile, UNCLE PETE and Max work on their moon tan while enjoying the beautiful moonlit night and several moon related refreshments.  So, break out a fresh jug of moonshine and bake up a moon pie (take one can of moon filling, poor into a frozen 9″ pie crust, cover with the second crust and bake for 35 minutes at 1200 degrees) and join UNCLE PETE Saturday, March 4, 2017 from 10PM to midnight on channel 4 (Binghamton), channel 99 (Elmira/Corning/Hornell and Utica/Rome), channel 17 (Montrose/Sayre) and channel 30 all over the north country (Ogdensburg/Watertown/Malone/Massena/Champlain) with replays at midnight and 2AM.  It’s Track Of The Moon Beast on the next DARK VAULT OF PUBLIC DOMAIN!!!

(And for all you Roku users, tune in to Beta Max TV this week for some hi-powered laughs with the Dark Vault Of Public Domain’s Classic Television Spectacular – Pt. II including a rarely seen episode of Dusty’s Trail.  It all gets underway this Saturday night at 7PM!)

UNCLE PETE GRABS A REFRESHING REFRESHMENT FOR TONIGHT'S FEATURE

UNCLE PETE GRABS A REFRESHING REFRESHMENT FOR TONIGHT’S FEATURE

It’s been pretty hot and rainy lately for the middle of winter, so if you’re aching to see some good snow and the beasties that come with it, slide on in to THE DARK VAULT OF PUBLIC DOMAIN.  This week, UNCLE PETE hits the slopes for a cautionary tale on why not to go into strange mountain caves as he brings you The Beast From Haunted Cave.

Amongst the snowy hills of South Dakota, a seedy gang is planning a big gold heist.  As a diversion, they plan an explosion in a nearby mine.  While setting the explosives, bad guy Marty (Richard Sinatra – wasn’t he a singer or something?), and a local barmaid (always bring a barmaid along when you set explosives in a cave) encounter a strange creature that croaks the barmaid but good.  After the heist, the gang leader (Frank Wolff) hires a local ski lodge owner and guide (Michael Forest) to take them to a remote cabin on the ruse of doing some remote skiing, but with the real idea to meet up with a get-a-way plane.  But the beastie has a cave nearby and soon locates the gang with dinner on its mind.  No one believes Marty’s story about the creature until people start disappearing.  That’s when the real fun starts.

THE RARELY SEEN DE-COLORIZER!

THE RARELY SEEN DE-COLORIZER!

THE ALSO RARELY SEEN B&W DISEMBOBULATOR (TM)

THE ALSO RARELY SEEN B&W DISEMBOBULATOR (TM)

Also starring Sheila Carol as the moll and Christopher Robinson as The Beast, directed by Monte Hellman, produced by Gene Corman and released on New Year’s Day 1959, it’s Beast From Haunted Cave.

Back at The Dark Vault, UNCLE PETE has broken out the skis cuz it’s a ski movie and, because the movie is in Black and White, he’s also brought out the rarely seen Vito Gold De-Colorizer (TM) and of course the also rarely seen Black and White Disembobulator (TM).  Between ski runs and activating gadgets, UNCLE PETE brings you our favorite cartoon sweetie Betty Boop along with one of the coolest cats ever – Cab Calloway – in the 1930 cartoon Minnie The Moocher.  Then from 1929, there’s one of the earliest examples of a talkie cartoon, also from the Fleischer Studios, Finding His Voice.

So join UNCLE PETE and El Vato this Saturday, February 25, 2017 from 10PM to midnight on channel 4 (Binghamton), channel 17 (Sayre, PA), channel 99 (Elmira, Corning, Hornell and Utica/Rome), and channel 30 (The North Country – Champlain/Watertown/Massena/Malone/Ogdensburg/etc.) with replays at midnight and 2AM.  It’s cartoon fun and skiing horror with Beast From Haunted Cave – the next feature presentation on THE DARK VAULT OF PUBLIC DOMAIN!

(And meanwhile, back at the Roku on Beta Max TV, it’s the 1976 sorority slaughter scarefest Sisters Of Death at 7PM this Saturday)

UNCLE PETE VISITS THE CLONE FACTORY THIS WEEK

UNCLE PETE VISITS THE CLONE FACTORY THIS WEEK

Ride the rails and dodge the slasher this week in THE DARK VAULT OF PUBLIC DOMAIN.  Join UNCLE PETE and El Vato for some surveying, re-cloning and a trip to a happening night spot with The Phantom Of Soho.  You may know the Phantom who sang the classic Love Me, and you may know the Phantom from the comics who fights evil-doers in the jungle and around the world, and you may even know the Funky Phantom who helps solve mysteries, but you probably don’t want to know this Phantom Of Soho.  Chief Inspector Patton (Dieter Borsche) has been called in to investigate some nasty murders taking place near a seedy nightclub.  The Zanzibar Club is filled with knife throwers, exotical type dancers and ladies who work the night shift and tend to be very friendly and maybe even a murderer.  A German-made film directed by F.J. Gotlieb and also starring Barbara Rutting as Claudia and Stanislav Ledinek as Gilyard, the club manager, it’s the 1964 feature – Phantom Of Soho.

UNCLE PETE WORKS MAGIC THIS WEEK!

UNCLE PETE WORKS MAGIC THIS WEEK!

It’s sorcery at its spookiest and vampires at their hoppingest Saturday night in THE DARK VAULT OF PUBLIC DOMAIN!  Join UNCLE PETE this week for the DARK VAULT premier of the 1987 supernatural kung fu thriller – Spooky Sorcerers (aka – New Mr. Vampire).  Before the burial of a prominent businessman (with shady connections) who was recently killed by a hopping corpse (as in one of those vampire types), Sorcerer Wu decides to steal the freshly killed corpse and have it become a vampire.  While Wu’s brother Master Chin and Chin’s followers try to stop the vampire, grave robber Wang Choi (Chin Siu Ho) accidentally uncovers the deceased concubine of a powerful warlord and revives her.  The vampire winds up at the warlord’s hotel.  The concubine winds up at the hotel.  The warlord is pretty miffed that someone disturbed her grave.  The sorcerer brothers Wu and Chin continue their feud.  And then things get even more complicated!  Starring Chin Siu Ho, Lu Fang, and Huang Ha and Chung Fat as Wu and Chin, directed by Billy Chan Wui-Ngai and also known as Kung Fu Vampire Busters, it’s Spooky Sorcerers!

Back at THE DARK VAULT, UNCLE PETE is trying out a little sorcery of his own with his new magic wand and manages to conjure up a whole passel of great spooky and kung fu trailers and some rockin’ music from the land of kung fu vampires.  He even accomplishes what hundreds of others have tried to do – making himself disappear.

So tune in this Saturday, February 11, 2017 from 10PM to midnight on channel 4 Binghamton), channel 17 (Sayre/Montrose), channel 30 in the North Country (Champlain/Watertown/Massena/Malone/Ogdensburg) and channel 99 (Elmira/Corning/Hornell and Utica/Rome), with replays at midnight and 2AM  It’s a festival of vampires, sorcerers, corpses, and all kinds of fun stuff like that – and a Brand New Episode – with Spooky Sorcerers, the next feature presentation on THE DARK VAULT OF PUBLIC DOMAIN!
