UNCLE PETE  digs up a special Double Feature filled with animal heroes and lots of action this Saturday on THE DARK VAULT OF PUBLIC DOMAIN!!!   First is Inside Information from 1934,  a canine detective classic starring Tarzan The Dog as Tarzan The Police Dog (or is it the other way around).  When thousands of dollars of bonds are stolen, assistant cashier Lloyd Wilson (Rex Lease) is blamed.  But Lloyd’s trusty companion, Tarzan, has witnessed the whole thing and sets out to track down the real culprits in this action packed crime drama.  Also starring Marion Shilling and Charles “Blackie” King (as Blackie Black) and featuring director Bob Hill as Police Chief Gallagher, it’s Inside Information.

UNCLE PETE DOES A LITTLE SECRET AGENTING

It’s spies, a half spy, and fun this Saturday on THE DARK VAULT OF PUBLIC DOMAIN when UNCLE PETE presents the 1982 spy spoof The Impossible Kid.  Directed by Eddie Nicart, and starring the Philippines’ 2 foot 9 inch answer to Sean Connery – Weng Weng (nee – Ernesto De La Cruz).  Known by his code name of  Agent 00, Weng Weng finds himself working with the Manila branch of Interpol.

The evil Mr. X has threatened the Philippines.  Some businessmen have come up with the ransom demanded by Mr. X, but our hero suspects there’s something rotten in Denmark (or Manilla even!).  A little super spy work soon turns up a complex secret plan of evil masterminded by the mysterious Mr. X.  This sequel to Weng Weng’s For Your Height Only stars Nina Sara as Lolita, Romy Diaz as Senyor Manolo, Romy Nario as Mr. X and Ben Johnson (no, not the well-known American Western actor and stuntman) as the Chief.

Back at the Vault, UNCLE PETE brushes up on some of his Double Naught spy techniques (to the annoyance of El Vato) and brings you a 1974 short from the streets and playgrounds of the exotic eastern city of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania entitled Destruction – Fun Or Dumb?  So, join UNCLE PETE and El Vato this Saturday, March 31, 2018 from 10PM to midnight (with replays at midnight and 2AM) on channel 1301 in the Binghamton area, southern NY and northern Pennsylvania, channel 99 around Utica/Rome, channel 30 in the North Country of NY and channel 2 around Saranac and Tupper Lakes and Plattsburgh.  And in Ithaca, NY, it’s channel 13 from 9PM – 11PM with a replay from midnight – 2AM.  Spend Easter eve with UNCLE PETE and The Impossible Kid on the next installment of THE DARK VAULT OF PUBLIC DOMAIN!

And this week in THE DARK VAULT OF PUBLIC DOMAIN on Beta Max TV on the Roku streaming device, it’s a rock and roll classic as Arch Hall, Jr. stars in Wild Guitar!

EVIL BRAIN, EVIL BOLOGNA, THE USUAL UNCLE PETE

UNCLE PETE CLEANS THE VAULT BUT FOGS HIS BRAIN THIS WEEK

According to UNCLE PETE, brains are sorta like cold cuts – if you don’t take the proper care, they go bad.  When left in a dusty recess of THE DARK VAULT OF PUBLIC DOMAIN, they can go beyond bad.  They can go downright evil!  And we’ve got an example of that in this week’s feature –  Evil Brain From Outer Space!!!   It’s Japan’s first super hero, Starman, back to save the earth, this time from the brain of the mostly dead Balazar that unleashes all sorts of nasty alien creatures whose touch means instant death to a mere mortal.  Starring Junko Ikeuchi, Minoru Takadi, and of course, Ken Utsui as Starman, the man of strongest steel from the Emerald Planet, it’s the 1964 thriller, Evil Brain From Outer Space.

Meanwhile back at THE VAULT, UNCLE PETE is doing a little cleaning up in one of his secret hiding places.  You never know what you’ll find when you start cleaning up a long forgotten part of the VAULT, and this time, UNCLE PETE uncovers a great sale circular from Fowler’s and, even more tasty, a well aged baloney (pronounced bologna) sandwich.  Maybe it’s not true that baloney gets better with age, and after chomping it down, UNCLE PETE takes a little side trip into a place very few have ever been.  But besides cleaning and discovering and snacking, he also finds time to bring you some music from the High Lows  and a Three Stooges short from 1949.  The trio searches for a priceless gem and serves up some treats at the Cafe Casbahbah in Malice In The Palace.  Even Santa Claus makes an appearance (he does that occasionally in the off-season).  And the whole show has been remastered for better video, better audio and even better weirdness (especially in the trippy parts).

So join UNCLE PETE this Saturday, March 24, 2018 from 10PM to midnight on channel 1301 in the Binghamton, Corning/Elmira/Corning and northern Pennsylvania viewing areas, channel 99 (Utica/Rome), channel 30 in the North Country, and channel 2 for Tupper and Saranac Lakes and the Plattsburgh area with replays at midnight and 2AM.  And on channel 13 in Ithaca, NY, the show time is 9PM – 11PM with a replay from midnight  – 2AM.  It’s strange creatures and stranger baloney as we bring you Evil Brain From Outer Space, our next feature presentation on the DARK VAULT OF PUBLIC DOMAIN!

And this week on Beta Max TV on the Roku devices (betamaxtv (dot) com) it’s the Classic TV Spectacular – Pt V featuring a grab bag of shows from the golden age of television.

UNCLE PETE SHOWS OFF SOME RARE VITO GOLD MERCHANDISE

Looking for an exotic getaway filled with suspense and intrigue?  And want it to be cheap?  Well, join UNCLE PETE (who does cheap without any effort at all) for an evening in the Mediterranean filled with car chases, explosions, crime, shootin’, and other fun stuff as he brings you the 1976 actionfest – Death Rage.  Retired hit man Peter Marciani (Yul Brynner) heads from NYC to Naples (the Italian one) to get the dirty rat who killed his brother in the Old Country.  Once there, hit man wannabe and uninvited sidekick Angelo (Massimo Ranieri) latches on to learn from the master and Barbara Bouchet pops in to pretty things up a bit.  But Yul finds he’s been lured into a trap by his brother’s killers.  Throw in Martin Balsam as the Commissario and you’ve got all kinds of plot twists and turns.  It’s director Antonio Margheriti’s Death Rage (aka – Con La Rabbia Agli Occhi).

Back in THE DARK VAULT, UNCLE PETE takes time to share a personal favorite recipe for an Antonio Margherita ™ in honor of our feature’s director and shows off some special VITO GOLD ENTERPRISE merchandise unofficially nearly endorsed by Yul Brynner himself.  There’s also a 1959 informational bit entitled The Trouble With Women (don’t get El Vato started) brought to you by the Aluminum Company Of America and you’ll even see a pile of shorts too (movie bits, not laundry).  Plus for you literary types (or maybe il-literary types), Azul De Vaca recites his idea of a poem about Barbara Bouchet.

So join UNCLE PETE this Saturday, March 17, 2018, from 10PM to midnight (with replays at midnight and 2AM) on our brand new channel, 1301 for the entire Binghamton, Elmira/Corning/Hornell and northern Pennsylvania areas, channel 99 in the Utica/Rome area channel 2 around Tupper and Saranac Lakes and Plattsburgh, and channel 20 for the wole rest of the North Country of upper New York State.   And remember, all you folks in the Ithaca, NY area, the channel is 13 and the show times are 9PM to 11PM and midnight to 2AM.  It’s Yul Brynner’s final cinematic appearance (at least this side of the grave) – Death Rage   and it’s the next feature presentation on THE DARK VAULT OF PUBLIC DOMAIN!

(And brand new on Beta Max TV on the ROKU stream system – it’s classic television at its gamey-est – The Classic TV Spectacular – Pt IV!)

UNCLE PETE WOWS ‘EM ON JAPANESE RADIO IN THE SUMMER OF LOVE

Do you like seafood?  How about GIANT seafood?  UNCLE PETE’s got some tonight and he’s bringing it when he drops by to visit Sluggo and the Vortexx gang again this Thursday.  This week, he brings THE DARK VAULT OF PUBLIC DOMAIN over for the water lovin’ monster classic Destroy All Planets!  Our favorite big turtle, Gammera, gets a mind control thing tuned into his brain by evil aliens bent on, well, evil.   But they mess with the Boy Scouts, and that may con back to bite them.  It all happens tonight, along with some rousing chat from The Vortexx gang during the show.  The place for the action is http://www.horrorhost.net and the time is  Thursday, March 15, 2018 at 9PM.  The Vortexx gang shows a special feature every night at 9PM that also includes live chat while the show is on.  And that special place to be is www.horrorhost.net

And speaking of disc jockeys (somebody musta been), UNCLE PETE does some fond reminiscing and has his own flashback sequence of when his popular TV music program Rock-A-Rama was cancelled and the call went out from the Land Of The Rising Sun for UNCLE PETE to come over and fill the Japanese airwaves with the stuff that only UNCLE PETE can fill airwaves with.  UNCLE PETE also has a bunch of cool and obscure (what else) music videos for you and some rare footage of UNCLE PETE on the radio in Japan!  Lots of action and music too as UNCLE PETE brings THE DARK VAULT OF PUBLIC DOMAIN to visit with Sluggo and The Vortexx gang this Thursday from 9PM – 11PM for Destroy All Planets at www.horrorhost.nest .

UNCLE PETE AND OXNARD ENJOY A LITTLE WHITTLIN' FUN

UNCLE PETE AND OXNARD ENJOY A LITTLE WHITTLIN’ FUN

We hope you were able to find us at our new location (channel 1301) in the Binghamton, Corning, and northern Pennsylvania areas this past week.  If you didn’t, do a little searchin’ this week – that’s where we are. And speaking of searching, join UNCLE PETE  in THE DARK VAULT OF PUBLIC DOMAIN this Saturday night as he searches for a rare bird and the East Side Gang searches for ghosts in the suspense filled 1943 comedy thriller Ghosts On The Loose   UNCLE PETE and his ever faithful Beagle OXNARD are at LAKE DARK VAULT for the occasion.  Starring Leo Gorcey as Muggs, Huntz Hall as Glimpy, Bobby Jordan as Danny and Sunshine Sammy Morrison as Scruno, we find the Boys helping with the wedding preparations for Glimpy’s sister Betty (played by Ava Gardner in an early role).  Jack, Betty’s intended (played by Rick Vailin), has purchased a little home in the suburbs for which to settle in with his new bride.  The Gang decides to do a little fixin’ up for the happy couple but mistakenly goes to the mansion next door – a place said to be haunted.  Mysterious things have the Gang thinking there are ghosts about, but Emil (Bela Lugosi) and his Nazi bunch hidden in the mansion might not be the ghosts the gang thinks they are.  One of the most classic exchanges in all of filmdom occurs between Scruno and Emil as the Boys explore the secret passages and Scruno utters the immortal “Who Dat!” The film also features Wheeler Oakman as Tony and Stanley Clements as Stash. Clements, here in his only East Side Kids film, would resurface in the 1950’s as Duke, the leader of The Bowery Boys after Leo Gorcey’s retirement.  Plus, make sure to listen for (and watch) Bill Bates as Sleepy who actually plays the organ in his only East Side Kids appearance in this week’s feature Ghosts On The Loose.

UNCLE PETE, OXNARD, Max and Stone Dog are at LAKE DARK VAULT and getting crafty, whittling with UNCLE PETE’s 47 blade pocket knife – including the Sterling Steel dinner service.  UNCLE PETE also finds time to bring you a short from our favorite trio – The Three Stooges. From 1936, it’s Disorder In The Court. Who Dat Say Who Dat When I Say Who Dat? It could be Scruno, it could be Bela Lugosi, it might just be UNCLE PETE!  It’s whittlin, hound dogs, ghosts and a few eye pokes this Saturday, March 10, 2018 from 10PM to midnight on channel 1301 in Binghamton), Montrose/Sayre, and Elmira/Corning/Hornell, channel 2 around Saranac and Tupper Lakes and Plattsburgh, and channel 30 all around the North Country (Watertown, Massena, Malone, Ogdensburg, and  Champlain with replays at midnight and 2AM.  And in Ithaca, NY, tune to channel 13 from 9PM to 11PM with a replay from midnight – 2AM  Head to the lake with UNCLE PETE and OXNARD for Ghosts On The Loose.  It may be winter but the weather’s beautiful at LAKE DARK VAULT  for the next episode of THE DARK VAULT OF PUBLIC DOMAIN!
